About the Author

I grew up in a subdivision in a rural part of Kentucky.  I developed my love for the outdoors and adventure playing and exploring in the woods that surrounded our subdivision.  There were a lot of kids of all ages.  We spent our summers playing baseball, playing in the creeks and woods and lots of fishing.  In the fall it was football, basketball and some kickball.  Winters were filled with days and nights sled riding and ice-skating on the lakes and ponds.  When spring arrived the melting snow filled the creeks with a different form of adventure. We spend days catching crawdads, salamanders, snakes and turtles.  We built a small dam to catch the running water from the melting snow.  Every day was a different adventure.
